<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Errin is&nbsp;a member of Soroptimist International of Seattle North.<span>&nbsp; </span>Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and around the world.</font>

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3">On April 12th we will hold our annual auction. Tickets are only $35. It is held at the Mercer Island Community Center.<span>&nbsp; </span>This is an all volunteer effort with no paid administrators so that all of the money donated goes directly to the event. </font>

1)&nbsp; The Best Homes sell first: Regardless of the market the best homes always sell first. If a home is priced right and in great condition it will sell for the best price.

2) Length of stay: How long do you plan on staying in your new home? Real estate values normally do go up and down. In the long run buying a home still is a great investment. The best time to buy is in a down market and sell in an up market.

If you are looking to buy a home now is a great time. Interest rates are still low. Homes that have been on the market awhile you can offer less than full price. There is room to negotiate.&nbsp;We have been selling real estate for over 25 years and are experienced in this type of market. A general rule is you want to buy in a down market and sell in an up market. If you are a buyer sitting on the fence waiting for home prices to go down you might want to be careful. We do not have a crystal ball and in the spring Seattle might be back on the rise. The real estate market is a up and down cycle.
